My first quilt

I made my husband a quilt.  I am not a fan of following a pattern (unless it is clothing).  I prefer to wing it.  This was my first quilt and I did not have a definite plan as I created it.  It just evolved (stressfully) as I worked on it.

Low Impact Coasters

By low impact, I mean, when my boys throw them across the room, they don't hurt anyone or break anything. Nice!

four coasters. Super simple design. After I made the coasters I experimented with the specialty stitches and spelled across the coasters.
The coasters are not all the same size but I still love them.

Sewing Machine Mat

I made myself a sewing machine mat using this tutorial: www.wardi.dk/2007/08/sewing-machine-mat-tutorial.html.

My son also using my square to make squares on paper so he wants a quilt. I have alot of work ahead of me.

I made this!!

I made this!!, originally uploaded by KatyC2009.

This is an insulated cozy for my water bottle. An added bonus is that it now fits snugly in my cup holder; no more rattling around.\\

I made it by measuring the bottle and adding 1/4 inch seam allowances. I wish I had created a pattern as I made it so that I could duplicate my work. The next time I make one, I intend to make a pattern as I go.
